Go Natural On Your Wedding Day

Personally, I am a non believer when it comes to makeup. I don’t hate it or anything, I just don’t like it on my face. My best friend Kayla, on the other hand is the complete opposite. To her, makeup is an artistic tool and the face is a blank canvas, just waiting to be turned into a masterpiece. I agree that the way makeup can change a person’s look is quite interesting, but no matter how many youtube tutorials I watch I still can’t master the technique. So, I went to the simplest solution: giving up. Giving up isn’t always a bad thing. Every girl in the world was born with natural beauty, and with beauty it doesn’t always come with appearance. There is beauty in looks, voice, words and style, thoughts, creativity and the personality itself. But on ones wedding day looks seem to be the first thing on everyone’s mind. Every bride wants to walk down the aisle so stunning that her soon to be husband  sheds a tear.  But for the brides like me that don’t like makeup, what can we do to make our man go “wow”.  Whether you wear makeup or not, your fiance is still going to see you as the love of his life. But if you want to walk down the aisle with the confidence makeup gives a person, but without wearing makeup, this article is right for you.

We all like to glam ourselves up with change and products. But the products applied doesn’t have to be blush or cover up. There are so many natural remedies you can use, and yet many are blindsided by their uses.

Aloe Vera

Everyone knows that after of long day of being in the sun, aloe vera can save you from a painful night. But what people fail to understand is that there is more than 1 use for aloe vera. Ever heard of functional fixedness? Functional fixedness is the idea that a person can’t think abstractly. So for example, you want to hang up a picture frame, but can’t find a hammer. Rather than using any other object to fulfill the task, you give up because you believe than only a hammer will help you hang up the picture frame. Now that we understand functional fixedness, lets crawl outta the comfort zone and find multiple uses for not only aloe vera, but other substances as well.

Hair & Skin

Aloe vera can be used not only as a hair growth mask, but as a substance to reduce dandruff and as a natural moisturizer for the scalp. One of my favorite uses for aloe vera is using it as a substitute for mascara. By taking a mascara brush and applying aloe vera to your eyelashes typically once a day, you increase the growth and thickness of your lashes, making it seem like your wearing mascara when really your not. This is one of many natural ways to change your appearance without buying expensive products. Not only is aloe vera used for ones hair, but also for the skin. Containing vitamin c and e, aloe vera serves as a great moisturizer, as well as many other purposes: acne treatment, stretch mark elimination, lightens blemishes, soothes burns and as an anti-aging product. Now, I know that the factory packaged bottles of aloe aren’t convincing, so why not grow it yourself? Aloe vera is an easy, indoor plant to grow, is an air purifying plant, and in doing so you also know that the aloe your using is all natural.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a healthy substitute when cooking. I definitely appreciate having coconut oil when I’m in the mood for making fried bananas. But did you know that coconut oil is more than just a cooking oil and metabolism booster? For one, coconut oil can be made into toothpaste by simply adding baking soda. The 2 ingredients together restores enamel, whitening teeth naturally. Coconut oil is also good as a natural lip balm, it can be used for hair growth, and as shaving oil.

Face Mask

Do you ever have a stressful day and just want to go to the spa? Well, why not get the second best thing by relaxing in a bath and wearing a face mask. One can easy change their appearance by taking care of their skin and increasing natural nutrients. Making a bath is like making a cup of tea: rose petals, epsom salt, coconut oil, and many other ingredients. A face mask is simple, but somewhat complicated. Their are so many face masks that all do different things. Whether you want a natural glow, softer skin, less pours or a softer complexion using a face mask 2-3 times a week can do the trick. For example, dead sea mud contains many minerals such as sodium, chloride, magnesium, potassium, iron, and calcium, so it nourishes the skin.

Water

Increasing your water intake is one of the easiest ways to change your appearance and lose a few pounds. Drinking water not only flushes the muck in the colon, but also eliminates acne, leads to a softer complexion and a flatter tummy. An easy way to increase your water intake is by setting goals, limiting the intake of other liquid and by adding fruit to your water to change the flavors.

Wearing makeup isn’t the only way to change your appearance. By doing simple things like using aloe, coconut oil, relaxing and drinking water you could easily change your appearance and give yourself that “wow” you were looking for.
