Great Ways To Relax Before The Big Day

Planning a wedding is a lot of hard work. From organizing the guest list to preparing decorations, every little detail is time consuming. From every task completed, it can get stressful trying to complete everything before the wedding. Take the time to ask yourself, “am I overwhelming myself by doing all these tasks?” If yes, then it’ll be ok. Every bride wants her wedding to be perfect, and adding personalized details can definitely give your wedding the flare you were looking for. But you shouldn’t have to be stressed on one of the most memorable days of your life. So I bet you’re wondering, “What are some great ways to relax before the big day?”

Bathroom Spa

Your bathroom is like a place of escape from the world. Pause your wedding planning to dedicate some time for relaxation. Nothing is better than an Epsom salt bath to relieve the muscles and a vitamin C facial mask to make you feel fresh and new.

Plan Away With Friends & A Drink

Planning your wedding is always fun, but planning by yourself can get frustrating at times. Invite your closest friends over one night and talk about the wedding in general with them. It’s always nice to surround yourself with supporting voices. Ask them for their opinions on some details you need help figuring out. Liven up the night with champagne/wine you and your fiancé are considering serving at the wedding. Let your friends make your night, and let the experience be a lesson learned that spending a night with the girls is not only beneficial, but fun as well. Planning a wedding is fun, but sometimes it’s ok to put down the pen and paper and have a mimosa with friends instead.

Essential Oils

Over the past few years, aroma therapy has grown in popularity. One of my favorite essential oils is peppermint oil. Peppermint oil is meant clear your sinuses, clear your mind and drive your body to full alertness. Is wedding planning starting to give you a head ache? Fear not, because by simply rubbing a drop of peppermint oil on your temples, it will ease your mind from stressed to relaxed. Also, peppermint oil is also good to keep on hand during the wedding. At some point every bride feels nauseated. Whether it’s last minute jitters, over excitement or too much to eat during the dinner, peppermint oil will ease your mood and relieve the nauseating feelings.

Feel The Love With Letters

We have scent, we have touch, and we have taste. Now let’s move on to sight. To be fair and honest, this article isn’t about referencing the 5 senses. After peer reading the article over I kind of saw a common denominator and went for it. But anyways, let’s get back to the love letters. Having you and your fiancé write a love letter to each other right before the wedding is a perfect way to leave you excited and looking forward to the grand event. Planning a wedding is a lot of work, work that shouldn’t go unnoticed. By writing each other a letter about your appreciation and love for each other, it will leave you in a mixture of joyful emotions. Stress will be nonexistent, and only love will be found in its place.

There are so many ways for you to destress before the wedding. Even though this article may seem like a no brainer and you may have told yourself at some point, “this is common sense, why am I reading this?” Well ladies, we all get worked up and overwhelmed when it comes to planning. I mean, this is your wedding day. We have all dreamt about it, thought about it, and have been curious about when that day might come. Now that it’s here, well, you get the picture. It’s so much fun planning your wedding, but sometimes we forget to take time to ourselves. We forget to ask friends for help and forget to pause for just a moment. Yes, sometimes it may all seem like common sense. But sometimes, common sense is overlooked and we all need a reminder. Here’s your reminder ladies: Don’t lose yourself in all the planning! Remember that there will always be friends to love and support you. There is always a spare minute to focus on yourself. And in the end, no matter how long you focus on the little details, no matter how many DIY decorations you make, your wedding is still going to be perfect not because of how well you put everything together, but because now you are someone’s wife. And now you have a husband.
