How To Host A Bridal Party

Hosting a bridal party can be fun and stress free! It’s a time to gather all your leading ladies and close family and friends for a celebration of your happiness to be. However, let’s clear something up: Your bridal shower is not your bachelorette party! The bridal shower is when the bride-to-be receives gifts for her upcoming marriage and new life afterwards. This is also a time to feel loved and experience the realization that married life is right around the corner!  So, what would be most appropriate for a bridal shower?

Look at it like a baby shower. These girls don’t only consist of your bridesmaids, but your older relatives, fiances family and those closest to you. Besides the giving of gifts, there are many other things that will be happening, so here’s a little run through of what to plan and make aware of for your bridal shower.

Games

Coming up with bridal games is a great way to entertain yourself and your guests! With hundreds of wedding games out there, there are many that could be easily printed and ready to be played. Make sure that these games relate to the wedding in some way and/or represent you and your fiances personalities. Question games could be made fun an easy, for example: Who Know’s The Bride More? There can be a list of either or questions like pepsi or coke, dogs or cats, etc. Consider having party favors as rewards for the winners of these games, and in the end your guests will leave thrilled and happy!

Decorations

When decorating an area for the party, make sure to consider the theme of the wedding. Whether its bohemian, chic, elegant or just has a color scheme, remember to incorporate these little details to the party! It keeps the wedding spirits in high rise and excites the guests for the big day to come. Keep up these details in the napkins, table cloth, banners and fonts! Every little things makes a big difference!

Food

One of my favorite delights for a bridal shower is brunch! Brunch is perfect for a bridal shower due to the tasty and satisfying finger food that are light rather than heavy. For drinks, punch and champagne is preferred for the hour rather than wine. If you plan to have your bridal shower at night, then the venue changes completely with filling food options and maybe even wine rather than champagne. Either way, choose to your liking and be considerate to others food preferences, meaning whether or not they have allergies or prefer no meaty options.

Planning a bridal shower is straight forward and easy to set up. Just have fun and with the help of your bridesmaids everything will be glamorous!
