Romantic Ways to Surprise Your Bride

On your wedding day, you want your bride to feel more special than she has ever felt in her life. The lead up to the big day is often fraught and demanding of time and energy for her and for you, so here are some ideas to consider so you can spoil her.

Write a Love Letter

Put your phone down and pick up a pen and a piece of paper or a specially chosen card. Irrespective of how bad your writing is, tell your soon-to-be wife how much she means to you, how grateful you are to have her in your life and how much you are looking forward to growing old together. You do not need to be a great writer, just choose words from your heart about all the things you love about her, from the sweet things she does to the oddball things too.

A luxury gift

As a final gift to her before she becomes your wife, treat her to a luxury item. A gift that she can treasure for the rest of her life and that may one day become a family heirloom. You can find luxury gifts for her from Eternity Rose, from stunning jewellery pieces in her favourite colour or a natural rose dipped in her favourite precious metal as a reminder of this special day.

Book a “First Look”

A fairly recent part of a wedding day has been the “first look” in which the wedding photographer catches the look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time. Arrange with the maid of honour to get the bride to the venue 15 minutes early so that you can make this happen.

Engrave the Ring

Engraving your wedding band with your wedding date or with a favourite quote that describes best how you feel about her, makes the ring uniquely yours. If you have children, engrave their names or initials onto the ring as a message to them that they are very much included in the celebrations.

Choreographed groom and groomsmen dance

One of the best surprises for any bride is when the groom and his groomsmen take time to meet with a choreographer to put together an awesome dance at the reception, just for the bride. Whether you have two left feet or are an accomplished dancer, this is a surprise that will have everyone on their feet in the reception hall and will create a great memory.

Make a Memory Box

If you are going to stick with tradition and be apart the night before your wedding.  Create a memory box for your bride to open that evening as she relaxes before the big day. Include some of your best photographs together over the years and add in some of her favourite snacks or chocolate and anything else that you can think of that you know will make her smile and relax before the big day.

You could have your best photos as a wedding day slide show, or perhaps show a recording of your wedding proposal at the reception, if you want to share these memories with all who are celebrating with you on the big day.

Calming notes throughout the day

If you know your bride will be stressed out, rushing between hair and makeup appointments and having to deal with all of her bridesmaids and family’s questions and demands. Send little gifts throughout the day to calm her down and remind her that today is the day of celebrate of your love for each other.

Fireworks Display

At the end of the day, arrange for the venue to put on a surprise fireworks display.  This is a chance to treat not only your bride but the guests as well.

Choreographed groom and groomsmen dance

One of the best surprises for any bride is when the groom and his groomsmen prepare and prepare and prepare some more for a choreographed dance. Whether you have two left feet or are an accomplished dancer, this is a surprise that will have everyone on their feet in the reception hall and will create a memory for all to treasure forever.
